However, instead of finding the answers he wanted, a Lovecraftian being known as "Mother" inhabits the woman's body and reveals to them a dimension of chaos where the souls of dead humans are enslaved for eternity. With a jolt of his " secret electricity", he is able to revive a terminally ill woman. Ultimately, with Jamie's help, Jacobs is able to get a glimpse of the afterlife.
